What a day!

So Friday morning, around 3:30 am, Chloe decided she wanted to wake up to eat (she has slept through the night for the last 3 weeks). So I got up, went in her room to get her out and change her diaper while her bottle was warming, and saw 3 bags packed. So I turned around and my darling husband was standing there with a little note and it had #1 written on the front..and said "To My Wife"...He said...you weren't supposed to see these bags packed because Chloe usually sleeps through the night...so here is the letter I want you to read. It told me that there was no need for me to shower, but to get dressed in comfy clothes and leave the house by 8:30 am because I had an appointment at Elante Day Spa for a facial and manicure! :) What a pleasant and thoughtful surprise I thought...needless to say, this was JUST the beginning. He had planned the ENTIRE day with little and BIG surprises and had already spoken with my mom about Chloe going over there for the day and evening! How blessed am I? The note in itself was one of the sweetest things I have ever read! So...out the door I went to Elante and enjoy getting pampered! The note then told me to meet him afterwards at Grecian Gardens (one of my favorite places to eat Greek Salad and Greek Potatoes! YUM)!



After a delicious lunch I was handed another note that read "To My Love"...This note told me to get in the car and head to harbison because I was going shopping for some new clothes and a new dress! I went and found me some new jeans and tops! Never found a cute dress, but I think I got enough ;)It told me to make sure I was back at our house by 3:30 pm. How sweet is he?



At lunch, he handed me letter #3 that I was not to read until I got to our house. This note read "To Lauren"...this note told me to pack a bag and that he was going to be home around 4:15 to pick me up! He told me to pack a dress and shoes, comfy clothes, and bathing suit, and some clothes to wear home tomorrow! He had made reservations for us to stay at The Hilton in Columbia (where we stayed on our wedding night) and made reservations for us to have dinner at Ruth's Chris! He told me I'd have plenty of time to just shower at the hotel! When I walked into the hotel, there were 2 wine glasses, a bottle of wine, a dozen red roses and a gift sitting on bed of the suite we were staying in! If I wasn't already married, I would've thought he was proposing! haha!

The present that was wrapped on the bed had another note on it and it said "To the best mommy ever!" This note was the sweetest thing I have ever read (besides the note I got on my wedding day!) He said that we always need to remember how we got to where we are and how we brought this beautiful baby into the world! Because of our love, and how much it grows each and everyday! We had our "first kiss" on the stairs at a friends house, and he mentioned that something magical happened that night when we had our first kiss almost 8 years ago (Sept.8th, 2002 to be exact) and we don't ever need to forget that. God has blessed us both in more ways than we can ever imagine or thank him for! He said that he could never pick a perfect "birth" day gift for me, and he was so undecided on what to get after Chloe was born. He said that this gift is something that I have always wanted and will allow us to capture many special moments in all the years to come! He said "you enjoy it babe! You deserve it!" I am TOO SPOILED AND TOO BLESSED! How amazing is my husband? I opened the gift....and TADA! It was a BEAUTIFUL BRAND NEW NIKON D3000 with 2 lenses and a case! AHHHHHHH! I am so excited! I cannot believe it! I have a lot to learn on this camera, but I am so excited to learn! I hope to get some good tips from some of the girls whose pictures I admire ;)

A thing of beauty!

After I showered and got over the "shock", we went downstairs and had a DELICIOUS dinner and drink at Ruth's Chris! I had a yummy pomegranite cosmopolitan! After HALF of the drink, I was dizzy, so I stopped there! It has been over a YEAR since I had a SIP of alcohol! WHEW! That just did me in! I had a petite filet, blackened shrimp, salad, sauteed mushrooms, and a YUMMY chocolate mousse and berries/cream! It was absolutely DELICIOUS! It was so nice to have some time to just enjoy each other's company! What a blessing!

My mom is the BEST and took Chloe for the entire day and evening! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mother! She's the best! :) I knew she was in good hands with my parents last night and this morning!

We got up this morning and had a delicious breakfast buffet and headed home! Of course, we were in the MOST comfortable KING sized bed, and I slept HORRIBLE! Missed my baby TOO much and was so ready to get up and go home this morning :) What a day it was! It was truly wonderful getting to spend some quality time with my husband! He is the most thoughtful and caring man I have EVER known! BLESSED is an understatement!
