South Carolina State Fair

This is the 3rd year in a row that we have gone to the fair with Justin's whole side of the family! My in-laws were gracious enough to treat us all to the fair! This is Chloe's first experience! Since she was an infant the first year, and last year she just wasn't big enough to ride, we held out in taking her until she was able to enjoy it! And boy, did SHE! She had an absolute BLAST and rode everything that she was tall enough for! Justin or I rode with her! I was too chicken to let her go alone! She ate a corn dog and french fries and then we picked up a bag of cotton candy and mini donuts on our way out the doors! She cried and didn't want to leave, so I say that was a successful trip to the fair! It was fun, and we cannot WAIT to go next year when Peyton will get to experience it for the first time! I know these two with have a blast riding together!

First ride EVER! Merry go round!

Just a swingin'

We have a really nice playground and pool area in our neighborhood! It is one of the things that attracted us here in comparison to other places! We took the kiddos up there a few weekends ago when we had a rare cool beginning of fall day!
Peyton loved his first time on the swings!
Love seeing these babies together! I pray they will be the best of friends!
Chloe is an old pro at swinging!
Handsome boy looking just like his daddy!

It's FALL!

So, I haven't posted in what seems like FOREVER! (because it HAS Been!) So I am not EVEN going to try to BACKTRACK through the many things I have missed...so we will just start from now ;) We have had a wonderful fall so far! It is definitely my favorite season, and adding kids into the mix makes it all the more fun! I love getting to experience all these fun memories with my kids! The joy through their eyes is priceless! Justin's birthday was Sept.30 so we decided to go to Sky Top Apple Orchard in Flat Rock, NC for the day! We had a BLAST and the kids really enjoyed picking apples and pumpkins! The weather was great and never got out of the low 70's!
I love my family! The apples close by were pretty much all picked, so we just picked a few and then bought the rest! It was a great time and we look forward to creating memories doing this every year!

Chloe really enjoyed apple pickin and eating when we got home ;)
My 3 favorite people!
We aren't quite sure "how tall this fall" Peyton is, because he did NOT want to be put down!

Peyton especially loved the bumpy wagon ride!
Bubba loved the pumpkin patch!

I am back (I hope!)

Hi, to those of you that still seemed to stick around after my 5 month blogging hiatus. Not really sure why i stopped blogging, I guess LIFE just got in the way! :) When I would have a chance to sit down to blog I would be cleaning, washing bottles, washing clothes, or just taking a breather on the couch! I cannot believe how big my babies have gotten...it just blows my mind how fast time flies! Chloe will be 2 next month and we are in party planning mode! She is obsessed with the piggy cartoons right now, so we're thinking she's going to have an "Olivia 2nd birthday party!" Peyton is now 9 months old and weighs about as much as Chloe does! He is crawling and all over the place. He's showing signs that he is going to be pulling up on things any minute! He just gets cuter by the second! Chloe is such a busy bee! She loves Nick, Jr. and is becoming EXTREMELY smart! I swear, I know I am biased, but she is a GENIUS ;) She can count to 15, spell her name, say her ABCs, say her full name and Peytons full name...she can sign "Jesus Loves Me", "Twinkle Little Star", "Mary Had a LIttle Lamb" and SO many more! We just took them for their first out of town trip just the 4 of us to Charleston for my birthday! They did surprisingly well! I am glad we are finally in a great routine and it's getting much easier to get out and about these days! Well that was just a short recap of things going on in the Black household! We are looking forward the holiday weekend and maybe getting out in the sun and pool a bit! ENJOY! (Peyton is fussing for a bottle, and Chloe is wanting a snack, so I will have to update with pictures later ;))

"Santa Claus is comin' to town"

We decided to take our crew to see Santa Claus this weekend.

I've never been too keen on going to the mall to see Santa (the germs just scare the heebeegeebee's out of me!) so when I heard Santa was coming to the Old Mill in Lexington I decided that sounded like a plan for us!

Santa was there from 9 to 12 Saturday so we made sure we were there at 8:55 and were the first in line ;)

My cuties!

Mom had my friend Katie make Chloe and Peyton little matching Reindeer outfits for some festive wear ;)

I thought Chloe may enjoy Santa since she see's all the figurines and books at our house and she call's him "Ho-Ho"...WELL, not so much!

She was absolutely PETRIFIED! She saw him from a far and the clinging onto my sweater began!

Peyton was an angel and just layed in his arms....

Sometimes, though, the best Christmas "Santa" pictures are when the babies show their true personalities! All in all, it was a fun little trip and we can't wait to continue it year after year :)

I'm still here!

Wow...not even sure where to begin?

Life has been crazy, busy, but WONDERFUL lately!

Obviously, Peyton joined our family on August 23, 2011! He was 8lb 4 oz and 20.5 inches long. He spent 6 days in the special care nursery due to lots of fluid on his lungs and being treated for group B strep (Thankfully, he was not infected with it).

He has had pretty bad colic for the past 3 months, so blogging has not been top priority!! ;)

He is doing SO much better and is such a happy little monkey!

We also just moved into a BEAUTIFUL new home in mid September! We have had so much fun making this house into a home! Chloe loves her bedroom and all of the room! I hope Peyton will like his nursery as well (when we move him in there ;))!

I feel so incredibly blessed to be raising a beautiful daugther, and a handsome son! :)

Chloe is such a mess these days! she is getting so big (tall...but still a skinny little bean pole!) Her vocabulary has grown TREMENDOUSLY and she is so smart!

Just a little update on recent happenings. I am not going to go back to July and re-live our life happenings, but I will start from here on out! I hope all of y'all are having a blessed Holiday season! There is so much to be thankful for!

Until next time....

Weekend and baby appointment

I hope you all had a nice weekend! We sure did :)

Friday night, Justin took me and Chloe to Grecian Gardens (our fav) for dinner. It was DELICIOUS! I ate it CONSTANTLY throughout my pregnancy with Chloe and I am eating it a lot this time! No wonder Chloe loves greek potatoes! ha!

Saturday morning, we met my parents for breakfast and they took Chloe home (and out on the boat for the first time) for a few hours so Justin and I could go ahead and box up some stuff in the office. We have decided to not set up the nursery here in this house, since we will be moving less than a month after he is born. We are just going to partially clear out the office so we can have "somewhat" of a space for his STUFF!

(Pic mom texted me Sat. am)

Sunday, we had a great church service, and then went to lunch with Angelica and Sara. Angelica is only in town once a month, so it was great to get to catch up! We went to the new Mellow Mushroom in Lex. It's DELISH but took FOREVER yesterday and Chloe was NOT happy about it.

Sunday afternoon, Mom and Aubrey and I went to see "Friends with Benefits". It was a great movie! I definitely recommend it!

We had our LAST ultrasound today! I have exactly 4 weeks to go! :) Baby boy looks JUST LIKE his sister's ultrasound pictures and is currently weighing in at 5lbs 7oz! I am praying that he stays safe and healthy in my belly for the next 4 weeks! I can't wait to see his sweet face in PERSON and kiss those sweet cheeks!

(I was slack and didn't take any pics this weekend!)

Until next time...
