A lady at Justin's work is fighting a very rare form of cancer and they have been doing a few things to raise money for her and her treatment. We packed up Chloe and mom and my aunt met us at the Applebee's in West Columbia for a pancake breakfast benefitting Mrs. Fran. It was yummy. Jus took Chloe home and mom, Aunt Ellen and I headed to the church to finish up our last weekend of church mice for a few months. It was great and seems to take us less and less time each week.
Mom and I headed to Harbison to find her something to wear to her High School reunion. Dillards was having a great sale and I got a cute maxi dress and pair of Jessica Simpson flats. They're precious.
Of course...we can't go to Harbison and not stop by Enchanted Closet. MiMi bought Chloe 2 precious little dresses for the fall and I got her her Halloween smocked dress and Christmas smocked dress. They are so presh. Can't wait to see her in them!
Saturday night I cooked a wonderful, homemade chicken alfredo. This was the first time I tried this recipe and it turned out great. This will definitely be a new weeknight favorite. We had bathtime and played and went to bed early. We haven't been to the contemporary service at church in a while, so we decided to give it a go. It's at 9 am, so this requires us to get up a good bit earlier to get ourselves ready, fed and little bit ready and fed. *knock on wood* she has been SUCH an angel every week at church. This was the 7th time she has gone and we have YET to have a problem. Praise the Lord for a baby who likes to sleep during the service!
I had tons of errands to run yesterday. I get SO much more done when I can just run to target and the grocery store by myself without lugging a baby in a car seat. So daddy stayed home with Chloe and I went on a mission to get MORE passies, diapers, and tons of toiletry items. I also had a HUGE grocery list for the week!
For the past ump-teen years Justin and I would be preparing ourselves for the FIRST Carolina home football game, but this year we will be singing a different tune. I decided to cook some yummy tailgate food here at the house and we are going to enjoy it in our comfy pajamas! :) Oh, the little things in life ;)
Sunday night, we rented Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Anniston. I didn't care too much for it. Kind of silly humor and didn't really have a good story line. I cooked some delicious sausage dogs with peppers/onions and spicy mustard. It was a "man's meal" to quote Justin and thankfully he enjoyed them. Don't have too much planned for the coming week, but I'm sure it will be exciting!
Just a few pics from the weekend:

Until next time...

What is Enchanted Closet and why have I not heard of it before now!??! :)
ReplyDeleteHey girl! I am new to the whole "blogging world" so I just saw your comment. It is a little boutique type store in the Murray Wood Shopping Center in Irmo. It has the MOST adorable smocked dresses and little outfits for all occassions! Presh! Right now they have TONS of summery (and stuff you could wear in fall with a sweater) for 50% off and tons of cute Christmas and Halloween and Thanksgiving dresses!
