Our weekend.

We had a nice weekend. We were supposed to go to my Granddad and cousin's birthday Friday night, but I have a few kidney stones and they were acting up :( I hate to have missed all the fun and fellowship (and of course, shealey's deliciousness!) Saturday I did all the weekly grocery shopping and then went to target and got a few cute things. I have been wanting a new rug for our den because I felt like our black/tan one was too large and made the room look that MUCH smaller. Our den is SO TINY as it is, and I felt like the dark made it close in some more. I bought a smaller, garnet rug and I think it looks a lot better.

I pulled out the fall decor this weekend as well. It felt funny to put out fall decorations when it is 90-something degree's outside, but I just feel like it's the middle of September and it is TIME for the fall weather to grace us with its presence!

The Gamecocks won on Saturday as well! WOOHOO! It definitely makes for a happy husband when his teams win! Saturday was an early morning, so I went and got stuff for a pot roast meal and put it on at 9 am. I let it cook for about 8.5 hours and it was the most delicious thing I think I've ever cooked! (At least my husband thinks so :))

Sunday, we went to church and then took a baby gift over to a family friend. She is due Thankgiving weekend with a little boy (name undecided). She has a 5 year old little girl who is just absolutely adorable. It was great catching up with her, since she now lives in Charleston. We went to dinner at Outback Sunday night with mom and Aubrey and then came back and watched the Colts Vs. Giants game! GO PEYTON! I was so excited that the colts won! It was a HUGE win! Chloe was cheering away :)

Last night, I tried a new recipe that was a wagon wheel pasta (a family friend gave it to me!) I loved it. My husband wasn't too crazy about it because it had mushrooms in it, but I believe I will be fixing it again!

Last night, the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars came on and that is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. I am not one to watch a lot of reality TV, but since Michael Bolton is on it this year...I cannot miss it! I must say though...I don't think he's gonna take the trophy this year ;) He was "OK" but he is not too shabby to look at :) I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday and a great week!

We are headed to dinner tonight with Bridgette, Rick and little Mara Mae to Kovachi's! I've never been, so I'm excited to give it a try!

Please keep the family of Kenny McKinley in your prayers. Such a sad, sad situation! Pray for healing and peace and comfort for his poor family and friends.
